PROMOTE YOUR PUBLICATION TO THE HILT

Promotional Techniques

  • Solicit interviews with online and print medias

  • Reference your work within the bio line of your articles and list it within subsequent publications

  • Bring a professionally printed copy of your publication to business expos, seminars, and other networking events

  • Send a press release announcing release of the publication

  • List the publication within your business resume and within the credential section (or index) portion of your website

  • Mention the publication and provide a direct link below the signature line of all outgoing emails

  • Lend your expertise as an author and industry leader to complementary websites in exchange for publication exposure

  • Connect a current world event with the topic of your publication and pitch an article to a national, city, or suburb newspaper or website

  • Write and promote a brief article that highlights key points from select areas of your publication

  • When asked for a link exchange, agree, but also request your publication be featured or secure an arrangement where a couple of your articles that mention the book are also included

  • Search your network, including industry colleagues, for promotional techniques or to open other opportunities to expand the exposure of your publication

  • Create a blog

  • Solicit comments from those who contact you about the publication; once written permission is received, post the positive comments next to the book cover

  • How often have you visited a local bookstore and came out with several others books in toe? Join the affiliate program, if you haven't already, and promote other publications reflected at CareerEpublications.com that aren't in direct competition of your business

  • Barter for additional exposure

  • Promote the book through seminars and workshops

  • Send high quality printed and complimentary copies of your publication to non-profit organizations that cater to out-of-work people

  • If you've written other work, include it within your book cover; for example, written by Hal Franklin, author of 5 Steps to Managing Stress
